GPPS & HIPS – StyronTM MED

Can be used for applications ranging from petri dishes, pipettes, packaging items, housings and enclosures.

Designed for injection moulding applications, the material features high flow and good rigidity. Can be sterilized by Ethylene Oxide (EtO) and shows very good radiation stability when subjected to gamma or e-beam sterilization, even at high doses. It is not recommended to use GPPS in autoclave/steam sterilization methods.

It has undergone biocompatibility testing based to ISO 10993 standards and is suitable for use in approved medical applications. It also complies with United States and European food contact regulations.

PA6.66 – Novamid® Care

This is a high viscosity, unfilled, lubricated, polyamide 6.66 (PA 6.66) copolymer. It is processed by film extrusion. It exhibits excellent barrier properties (O2/CO2). This grade is optimized for film applications. It is used in IV fluid bags, medical packaging and catheters.

POE – EngageTM

An ethylene-octene copolymer that offers excellent performance in multilayer film structures such as SUS bioprocessing film, IV bags, ostomy bags and pharmaceutical applications that demand low extractables and leachables. It has excellent compatibility with other polyolefins, allowing for efficient blending and coextrusion.

Engage™ 8480K Health+™: is an ethylene-octene copolymer that offers excellent performance as a contact layer in multilayer film structures and profile extrusion of tubing and hoses in medical and pharmaceutical applications that demand low extractables / leachables. It has good clarity, toughness, and flexibility. Good clarity, toughness, and flexibility and Heat sealable. Hardness is 89 shore A.

Engage™ 8003: provides superb impact properties in blends with PP and PE. Provides high filler loading capability and outstanding peroxide cure capability. When cross-linked by peroxide, silane, or irradiation, it gives exceptional heat aging, compression set, and may be used to produce high performance electrical insulation. Hardness is 84 shore A.

Engage™ 8100: Hardness is 73 shore A, low melt.

Engage™ 8150: Hardness is 70 shore A, low melt.

Engage™ 8400: provides high clarity in products requiring visual. Also provides good impact properties in blends with PP and PE, especially in applications requiring high melt flow modifiers. Hardness is 72 shore A, high melt.

Engage™ 8402: provides high clarity in products requiring visual inspection. In addition, its low density can help control resin and production costs, while reducing the weight of end products. Hardness is 88 shore A and high melt.

Engage™ 8407: provides high clarity in products requiring visual inspection. In addition, the low density can help control resin and production costs, while reducing the weight of end products. Also provides good impact properties in blends with PP and PE, especially in applications requiring high melt flow modifiers. Hardness is 72 shore A, high melt.

Engage™ 8440: is an ethylene-octene copolymer that performs well in a wide range of thermoplastic elastomer applications. It is an excellent thermoplastic elastomer for blending and compounding. Hardness is 86 shore A and low melt.

Engage™ 8450: provides excellent flow properties and is efficiently cross-linked by peroxide, silane, or irradiation. When cross-linked, it gives exceptional heat aging, compression set, and weather resistance properties. Hardness is 90 shore A and low melt.

Engage™ 8540: It has good clarity, toughness, and flexibility. Hardness is 90 shore A and low melt.

PP – MedcolTM

MedcolTM brings together a new portfolio of polypropylene (PP) grades designed to serve the healthcare industry in Europe.

MedcolTM grades are produced with a phthalate-free catalyst technology and were tested according to European and US Pharmacopeia standards, adhering to Braskem’s global healthcare protocol and service concepts.

V1070: PP homopolymer for injection moulding with a MFR of 7

V4020: PP random grade made for the Blow-Fill- Seal process (MFR 2), which has higher softness and better processing than the existing grades serving this application.

V4080 and V4081: PP random for the film industry with a MFR of 8.
